Winter Storm Warning
Issued by the National Weather Service at 3:00 PM EST on November 20, 2008

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 PM this evening
to 6 PM EST Friday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 PM this evening
to 6 PM EST Friday.

A cold northwest flow of air across the Great Lakes will pick up
moisture and deposit it as snow over the Laurel Highlands tonight
and Friday. The heaviest snow will most likely be after midnight
tonight and through noon on Friday. Accumulations of 6 to 10 inches
are expected by midday Friday. The accumulations will be heaviest
on the west-facing slopes and hill tops. The heaviest of the snow
will then lift back to the north of the region late in the day on
Friday as the winds shift again.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means a significant amount
of snow is forecast that will make travel dangerous. If you must
travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... blanket and a cellular
phone in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Stay tuned to NOAA
Weather Radio or your favorite source of weather information for
the latest updates. Additional details can also be found at...
