A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from this evening through Friday evening. Scattered flurries and isolated snow showers will affect portions of eastern West Virginia through midnight. Little or no snowfall accumulation is expected. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s. West-northwest wind gusts up to 25 mph are expected...mainly across the higher elevations.

Friday Night...Mostly cloudy. Snow showers likely in the evening... then a slight chance of snow showers after midnight. Additional snow accumulation around an inch possible. Cold with lows around 20. West winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.

Friday.
Aided by cold northwest winds blowing across the Great Lakes...
snow showers will become more numerous over the Potomac Highlands
this evening and continuing through Friday. For tonight... new
snowfall accumulations of 1 or 2 inches are expected. By Friday
evening... total snowfall accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected
before the snow tapers off. Higher elevations will receive the
most snow... Lower Valley locations the least.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause
travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited
visibilities... and use caution while driving.
